Nuzul Al-Qur'an is one of the great events in Islamic history that occurred during Ramadhan with the revelation of Al-Qur'an as a holy book that is not only required to be read and recited with tartil. Al-Qur'an is also meant to be used as a main reference and guide for life. By reading Al-Qur'an, it can revives the heart, nourishes faith and illuminates the soul. The Friday Sermon touched upon Reviving the Soul with Al-Qur'an.
The Khatib said that Imam al-Ghazali Rahimatullah in his book, Ihya Ulum al-Din, stated that there are several etiquettes that should be observed when reciting Al-Qur'an. First, the heart should be present, and the mind should be focused on the recited Al-Qur'an. Second, understanding the greatness of the words of Allah, its loftiness and its virtues. Third, glorifying the essence of Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala when reciting Al-Qur'an. Fourth, realising that Al-Qur'an is not the words of humans. Fifth, tadabbur while reading the Al-Qur'an, in which the heart must be present, while the mind thinks and comprehends every verse read.
